Christopher Fanning is a graduate of Rutgers School of Law – Newark. During law school, Mr. Fanning served as Editor in Chief of the Rutgers Law Record, published a scholarly article that examined the Supreme Court’s decisions on capital punishment, and represented his school at a National Criminal Law Moot Court Competition. Outside of school, Mr. Fanning explored different areas of the law while working for The Honorable Stephen Bernstein, Federal Public Defender of New Jersey, Essex County Prosecutor’s Office, and Media Law Resource Center. He also authored legal articles explaining a specific New Jersey tax statute and the Federal Communications Commission’s standard for indecency. These articles were published by New Jersey Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Fanning graduated from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University. He also worked as a journalist for several years and earned an award for reporting from the Arizona Press Club.
Mr. Fanning joined the Oregon State Bar in October 2011 and enjoys playing music, cooking, sports, running obstacle courses and being outdoors with his family.
